If there’s one thing guaranteed to test your patience during a busy workday, it’s tech that almost works the way you want it to.
And honestly? Microsoft Teams has been one of those tools many Nottingham businesses rely on every single day, while quietly putting up with a few annoyingly clunky habits along the way.
You know the sort of thing…
Sending a half-written message by accident because you hit Enter too quickly.
Forwarding conversations one message at a time like it’s somehow still 2017.
Tiny frustrations? Maybe.
But when your team’s juggling client deadlines, meetings, remote working, and constant communication, those little interruptions add up surprisingly fast.
The good news is Microsoft has finally started fixing a couple of the most requested Teams annoyances, and for busy Nottingham businesses, these updates could make day-to-day work feel noticeably smoother.
You’ll soon be able to change what the Enter key does
We’ve all done it.
You press Enter to start a new paragraph… and suddenly your unfinished thought gets launched into the group chat for everyone to see.
Usually at the exact wrong moment.
Microsoft is finally introducing the option to customise how the Enter key works inside Teams messages.
So instead of Enter automatically sending your message, you’ll be able to set it to create a new line instead.
Simple? Yes.
Long overdue? Also yes.
But it’s exactly the kind of small improvement that removes friction from your day without you even realising how much it was bothering you before.
Forwarding multiple messages is finally becoming easier too
Another update rolling out soon will let users forward several Teams messages together in one go.
Previously, Teams only allowed you to forward messages individually, which made sharing context with colleagues unnecessarily slow and awkward.
Now, you’ll be able to select up to five messages from chats or channels and forward them together.
For growing businesses where communication moves quickly, this is the sort of feature that quietly saves time every single day.
Especially for hybrid teams working across Nottingham, West Bridgford, and beyond, where fast collaboration has become essential.
Small changes can make a big difference
The reality is, most businesses don’t need flashy new technology every week.
What they do need is tools that feel reliable, intuitive, and easy to use when the pressure’s on.
Because when your systems work smoothly, your team can focus on clients, projects, and growing the business , instead of battling avoidable tech frustrations.
And that’s exactly why updates like these matter.
They remove those tiny daily stress points that chip away at productivity over time.
